We had to remove their faulty trap entirely and install the correct plumbing components to ensure a permanent, reliable seal.
The Repair
To fix this, we had to perform a precise “surgery” on the bathroom unit:
- Access: Carefully cutting out the base of the vanity using a jigsaw and multi-tool to expose the concealed plumbing.
- Extraction: Using a hacksaw to surgically remove the damaged section of pipe without compromising the floor integrity.
- Restoration: Replacing the split socket and installing the correct, high-quality trap to ensure a permanent, leak-free connection. We finished by installing a clean, professional cover over the base cutout.
